Area Information

Birchrunville is a quiet historic village in Chester County located along the Birch Run Stream. .  It is listed in the National Register of Historic places.  The property at 1525 Hollow Rd has one of the first Grist Mills built before 1740 near the mouth of Birch Run. Today, Birchrunville is home to the Birchrunville Store Café originally built in 1898 and also home to a general store and post office.  While the post office is still there, the Store is now operated as a Café offering excellent food by Chef Francis Pascal.  Also in the village is the quaint Butterscotch Pastry Shop which offers fresh made pastries daily and breakfast and light lunch from the Chef at the Café.  It is a rustic building surrounded by nature and beautiful scenery that the locals love to gather at.  Birchrunville today embraces the outdoors and nature with it’s beautiful farms , French creek and Pickering creeks for fishing, trails for riding and hiking and it’s covered wooden bridge.  It is one of Chester Counties most desirable areas to live.
